United States Attorney Jacqueline C. Romero announced that Shamire Young, 20, of Philadelphia, PA, entered a plea of guilty before United States District Court Judge Nitza I. Quiñones Alejandro to the charge of carjacking stemming from an incident which occurred in the Germantown section of Philadelphia in March 2022, during which he and three other individuals stole a vehicle and fled in it.


United States Attorney Brandon B. Brown announced that Treymon Daykeem Reed, 29, of Alexandria, Louisiana, has been sentenced by United States District Judge David C. Joseph to 72 months in prison, followed by 3 years of supervised release, for illegal possession of firearms.


New York Attorney General Letitia James and Special Agent in Charge Frank A. Tarentino III, Drug Enforcement Administration New York Division announced the takedown of a drug trafficking operation that flooded communities in Western New York with cocaine and fentanyl pills.

Myers of the Southern District of Indiana announced that Bradley Cagle, 27, of Indianapolis, was sentenced to five years in federal prison after pleading guilty to possession with intent to distribute a mixture or substance containing a detectable amount of fentanyl and carrying a firearm during and in relation to a drug trafficking offense.


John G. McGarry, Assistant Special Agent in Charge of Drug Enforcement Administration-Wisconsin, and U.S. Attorney Gregory J. Haanstad of the Eastern District of Wisconsin announced that on Oct. 27, 2022, Dr. Manuel Thomas, 49, a former pediatrician, had been sentenced by U.S. District Judge Lynn Adelman to 18 months in federal prison for conspiring to unlawfully distribute controlled substances and maintaining a premises for the purpose of unlawfully distributing controlled substances.

Two men pleaded guilty Wednesday and admitted trying to pick up 100 pounds of methamphetamine that was being brought to the St. Louis area from Colorado.

A Springfield man was sentenced on Oct. 27, 2022 in federal court in Springfield for his role in a large-scale heroin trafficking organization.


The Office of the United States Attorney for the District of Vermont announced today that Maurice Pompey, 34, of Columbia, South Carolina, Christopher Moton, 29, of Columbia, South Carolina, and Danielle Richardson, 30, of Rutland, Vermont, were arrested on October 27, 2022 following the execution of a federal search warrant at 116 State Street, Apartment #4, in Rutland Vermont.


A Jefferson City, Mo., man was charged in federal court today with illegally possessing heroin to distribute.


Two women residing in Monterrey, Mexico, have admitted to their roles in importing nearly 1000 grams of heroin, announced Drug Enforcment Administration (DEA) Special Agent in Charge Daniel C. Comeaux, Houston Division and U.S. Attorney Jennifer B. Lowery.Maria Luisa Hernandez-Alanis, 41, and Tania Melissa Coutino-Hernandez, 40, admitted that on Sept. 4, they arrived at the Juarez-Lincoln Bridge Port of Entry in Laredo in a vehicle.


Alexander M.M. Uballez, United States Attorney for the District of New Mexico, announced that Luis Carlos Vásquez-Barragán, 51, of Nicolás Bravo, Chihuahua, Mexico, was sentenced to prison for possession with intent to distribute at least 50 kilograms but less than 100 kilograms of marijuana.


Alfred A. Cooke, Assistant Special Agent in Charge of Drug Enforcement Administration-Merrillville, Indiana, and U.S. Attorney Clifford D. Johnson for the Northern District of Indiana announced that Johnny Lamar Sawyer, 31, of Southfield, Michigan, was sentenced by U.S. District Court Senior Judge James T. Moody after pleading guilty to possessing with intent to distribute 500 grams or more of cocaine.


An indictment was unsealed today in federal court in Brooklyn charging Goran Gogic with one count of conspiracy to violate the Maritime Drug Law Enforcement Act and three counts of violating the Maritime Drug Law Enforcement Act. Gogic, a citizen of Montenegro, and a former heavyweight boxer, was arrested last night as he attempted to board an international flight from Miami International Airport.


United States Attorney Roger B. Handberg announced the return of an indictment charging Scott Andrew Hollington, M.D. (57, St. Augustine) with 10 counts of distribution of controlled substances and one (1) count of conspiracy to distribute controlled substances. If convicted, Hollington faces a maximum penalty of 20 years in federal prison for each distribution count and up to 5 years’ imprisonment for the conspiracy count.


Jennifer Bosworth, 31, of Keene, was sentenced today to 60 months in federal prison for possession with intent to distribute fentanyl and crack cocaine.
