State Department publishes notice on Feb. 11

The US State Department published a two page notice on Feb. 11, according to the U.S. Government Publishing Office.

The notice is focused on 30-Day Notice of Proposed Information Collection: Form DS-1622 and DS-1843, Medical History and Examination for Foreign Service, OMB 1405-0068.

The State Department is responsibly for international relations with a budget of more than $50 billion. Tenure at the State Dept. is increasingly tenuous and it's seen as an extension of the President's will, ambitions and flaws.

Notices are required documents detailing rules and regulations being proposed by each federal department. This allows the public to see what issues legislators and federal departments are focusing on.

Any person or organization can comment on the proposed rules. Departments and agencies must then address “significant issues raised in comments and discuss any changes made,” the Federal Register says.
