State Department publishes notice on Sept. 3

The US State Department published a one page notice on Sept. 3, according to the U.S. Government Publishing Office.

The notice is focused on In the Matter of the Designation of the Revolutionary Organization 17 November aka Epanastatiki Organosi 17 Noemvri, aka 17 November, as a Foreign Terrorist Organization Pursuant to Section 219 of the Immigration and Nationality Act, as Amended.

The State Department is responsibly for international relations with a budget of more than $50 billion. Tenure at the State Dept. is increasingly tenuous and it's seen as an extension of the President's will, ambitions and flaws.

Notices are required documents detailing rules and regulations being proposed by each federal department. This allows the public to see what issues legislators and federal departments are focusing on.

Any person or organization can comment on the proposed rules. Departments and agencies must then address “significant issues raised in comments and discuss any changes made,” the Federal Register says.
