Notice published on Nov. 2 by Transportation Department

The US Transportation Department published a two page notice on Nov. 2, according to the U.S. Government Publishing Office.

The notice is focused on Notice of Availability of the Federal Aviation Administration Record of Decision and Adoption of the Final Environmental Impact Statement for Modernization and Enhancement of Ranges, Airspace, and Training Areas in the Joint Pacific Alaska Range Complex in Alaska, for the Fox 3 Military Operations Area (MOA) Expansion and Paxon/Delta 5 MOA Establishment and Night Joint Training, Extending MOA Times of Use for the United States Air Force.

The Department handles nearly all infrastructure crisscrossing the country. Downsizing the Federal Government, a project aimed at lowering taxes and boosting federal efficiency, said the Department should be privatized to save money, reduce congestion and spur innovation.

Notices are required documents detailing rules and regulations being proposed by each federal department. This allows the public to see what issues legislators and federal departments are focusing on.

Any person or organization can comment on the proposed rules. Departments and agencies must then address “significant issues raised in comments and discuss any changes made,” the Federal Register says.
