Committee on Commerce: Subcommittee on Energy and Power held an oversight hearing on the implementation of Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) Standards and related issues. Testimony was heard from Barry Felrice, Associate Administrator, Rulemaking, National Highway Transportation Safety Administration, Department of Transportation; and public witnesses.

Committee on the Judiciary: Subcommittee on Crime and the Subcommittee on National Security, International Affairs of the Committee on Government Reform and Oversight, continued joint oversight hearings on Federal Law Enforcement Actions in Relation to the Branch Davidian Compound in Waco, Texas.
