U.S. Department of Labor Announces Jeffrey Earle Stone As Regional Representative for San Francisco Office

WASHINGTON, DC – The U.S. Department of Labor today announced that former California State Senator Jeffrey Earle Stone has been named Regional Representative for its San Francisco Regional Office.

"The U.S. Department of Labor is committed to working with state and local governments and organizations to create more opportunities for America's workers," U.S. Deputy Secretary of Labor Patrick Pizzella said. "Regional Representatives ensure that our partnerships with communities throughout the region remain strong and productive while we pursue policies that encourage economic growth." Stone brings an extensive background in local, county, and state government to his new role. In addition to serving as the State Senator for California's 28th Senate District, Stone is a former District Supervisor for Riverside County as well as Mayor of Temecula, California. He graduated from the University of California, Los Angeles and received his Pharm.D. from the University of Southern California.

The mission of the Department of Labor is to foster, promote, and protect the welfare of the wage earners, job seekers, and retirees of the United States; improve working conditions; advance opportunities for profitable employment; and assure work-related benefits and rights.
