“Today’s solid employment number is a vivid reminder that our economy is firing on all cylinders and moving in the right direction. This week we have seen strong economic data showing that Americans are buying more new homes, manufacturers are adding more employees to their payrolls, workers are making more money and consumers are spending with confidence during the holidays.
“President Bush’s pro-growth economic policies have helped to create nearly 4.5 million jobs since May 2003 and are working to expand our economy at a healthy rate. The President’s economic leadership is providing families, businesses and entrepreneurs with a brighter future filled with hope and opportunity.
“In order to continue our economic growth Congress needs to make the President’s tax cuts permanent. The alternative would put our hard earned economic gains in jeopardy.”
