The Bahrain Free Trade Agreement is a model trade agreement for the Persian Gulf region and beyond. Free and fair trade creates jobs in this country by opening new markets for American products. Trade also improves lives for millions in other countries by lifting them out of poverty.
I applaud the House of Representatives for passing this important trade agreement and for their leadership in working toward strengthening our economic ties with the Middle East region.
