U.S. Commerce Secretary Gary Locke delivered remarks today at a luncheon hosted by the American Chamber of Commerce and the U.S.-China Business Council in Beijing, focusing on opportunities for U.S.-China collaboration in the clean energy market and the special responsibility the two countries have to lead the way in combating climate change.
Accompanied by 24 U.S. businesses representing a cross-section of the best that America has to offer in clean energy, energy efficiency, and electricity energy storage, transmission and distribution, Locke also stressed the need for reforms that would level the playing field for foreign companies in the Chinese market.
