The U.S. Commerce Department’s Bureau of Economic Analysis today released the second estimate of gross domestic product (GDP) for the first quarter of 2010. Real GDP growth was revised slightly downward, from 3.2 percent to 3.0 percent at an annual rate.

“Today’s release indicates that the economy continues to expand,” said Under Secretary for Economic Affairs Rebecca Blank. “Although this is another sign that the economy’s expansion remains on solid footing, the administration will not be satisfied until economic growth is strong enough to ensure that any American who wants a job can find one.”
