Blank also highlights key components of the American Jobs Act Remarks at the 6th U.S.-China Aviation Summit, Washington, D.C.
Acting U.S. Commerce Secretary Rebecca Blank today delivered the keynote remarks at the opening of the 6th U.S.-China Aviation Summit, where she discussed U.S. aerospace exports and ways to deepen bilateral collaboration trade in the aviation sector.
Blank also discussed President Obama’s American Jobs Act, focusing on the different ways the bipartisan measures in the plan could make an immediate impact on job creation: cutting taxes for small businesses, putting more money in the pockets of consumers through an expanded payroll tax cut, and making significant reforms to unemployment benefits to help get more of the long-term unemployed back to work. Blank underlined the need for Congress to act quickly on the bipartisan measures in the Jobs Act.
