U.S. Secretary of Commerce Penny Pritzker delivered remarks and participated in an armchair discussion at the Economic Club of Chicago (ECC). The ECC provides a forum for public and private sector leaders to discuss current socioeconomic issues. Secretary Pritzker is a Chicago native.
During her remarks, Secretary Pritzker discussed the lessons she has learned during her time in Washington and issues that are important to ensuring American competitiveness in the 21st century, including workforce development, the digital economy, and the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP).
Following Secretary Pritzker’s remarks, Ilene S. Gordon, Chairman, President, and CEO of Ingredion Incorporated and Chair of The Economic Club of Chicago, moderated the armchair discussion.
William Daley, former U.S. Secretary of Commerce and Antonio Garcias, CEO and CIO of Valor and Presidential Ambassador for Global Entrepreneurship, were also in attendance.
