The following press release was published by the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System on Dec. 17, 2008. It is reproduced in full below.

The Federal Reserve Board on Wednesday extended the end of the comment period on its proposal to revise the disclosure requirements for mortgage loans under Regulation Z (Truth in Lending) from Jan. 23, 2009, to February 9, 2009. The revisions would implement the Mortgage Disclosure Improvement Act (MDIA), which was enacted in July 2008 as an amendment to the Truth in Lending Act (TILA). The extension is granted to give the public additional time to comment on the proposal. The Board's notice is attached.
