Federal Reserve Board announces approval of application by Cathay General Bancorp

The Federal Reserve Board on Monday announced its approval of the application under section 3 of the Bank Holding Company Act by Cathay General Bancorp to acquire SinoPac Bancorp and thereby indirectly acquire Far East National Bank, all of Los Angeles, California.
