Richard H. Clarida took the oath of office on Monday as a member of the Board of Governors of the Federal Reserve System and as Vice Chairman. The oath of office was administered by Chairman Jerome H. Powell in the Board Room.

President Trump on April 16, 2018, announced his intention to nominate Dr. Clarida to an unexpired term as a Board member, ending on Jan. 31, 2022, and to a four-year term as Vice Chairman. He was confirmed to both positions by the United States Senate on Aug. 28, 2018.
