The OAS Justice Ministerial will be held in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago from March 10-13, 2002. The general purpose of the meetings is to provide a regular forum for the Ministers to discuss current challenges to countries in the region. This year the topics will primarily focus on terrorism and transnational crime. The Attorney General will participate in two plenary sessions with Justice Ministers/Attorneys General of the countries in North America, Latin America, and the Caribbean and conduct meetings with a number of his counterparts. Assistant Attorney General Michael Chertoff will also attend the OAS Justice Ministerial. THERE WILL BE PRESS AVAILABILITIES ON MONDAY FOLLOWING THE PLENARY SESSIONS. 02-133
