Statement by Press Secretary Clark Stevens on Secretary Napolitano's Upcoming Visit to Montana and Chicago

For Immediate Release Office of the Press Secretary Contact: 202-282-8010 “Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano will travel to Great Falls, Sunburst and Havre, Mont. and then to Chicago, from Aug. 24-26. On Tuesday, Aug. 24, Secretary Napolitano will travel to Montana and join Senators Max Baucus and Jon Tester and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) Commissioner Alan Bersin to tour CBP operations, meet with state, local and law enforcement officials and private sector stakeholders about DHS’ efforts to secure the Northern border, and participate in a media availability.

On Thursday, Aug. 26, Secretary Napolitano will visit Chicago to deliver remarks to the International Association of Fire Chiefs, visit key critical infrastructure sites, meet with public and private sector stakeholders, law enforcement officials and first responders to discuss the Department’s continued commitment to protecting our nation’s transportation systems and critical infrastructure, and participate in a media availability.
