Statement from Deputy Press Secretary Matt Chandler on Secretary Napolitano's Upcoming Trip to Kentucky

For Immediate Release Office of the Press Secretary Contact: 202-282-8010 "Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Secretary Janet Napolitano will travel to Lexington and Louisville, Ky., on Thursday, Oct. 7. In Lexington, she will hold a discussion with state and local law enforcement partners and business leaders about DHS' strong commitment to smart, effective enforcement of America's immigration laws. Secretary Napolitano will then travel to Louisville to meet with state and local law enforcement officials, first responders and community leaders to underscore the Department's efforts to get resources out of Washington, D.C., and into the hands of the men and women serving on the front lines—including local law enforcement and first responders, as well as citizens, community groups, and our partners in the private sector. More details on the trip will be released once they are finalized."
