For Immediate Release DHS Press Office Contact: 202-282-8010 WASHINGTON— Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson today met with House Homeland Security Committee Chairman Mike McCaul, and separately with Ranking Member Bennie Thompson to underscore the Department of Homeland Security’s (DHS) important collaboration with Congress on a wide range of homeland security priorities including immigration reform, border security and cybersecurity.

During the meetings, Secretary Johnson highlighted the Department’s commitment to working closely with Congress to continue DHS’s efforts to ensure a safer, more secure, and more resilient homeland, including the importance of commonsense immigration reform as well as the need for cybersecurity legislation to support our nation’s ongoing efforts to mitigate cyber threats. Secretary Johnson made clear he looks forward to continuing to work with these important partners in the months ahead.
