For Immediate Release DHS Press Office Contact: 202-282-8010 WASHINGTON -- Secretary of Homeland Security Jeh Johnson met today with Belgian Ambassador to the United States Johan Verbeke to offer his personal condolences to the ambassador and to the Belgian people in the wake of the horrific terrorist attacks today in Brussels and to offer to Belgium the full support of the Department in responding to these attacks and bringing those responsible to justice. Secretary Johnson noted the strong history of homeland security and intelligence sharing cooperation between U.S. and Belgian authorities and reaffirmed that the United States will provide any additional assistance that may be required.
