Readout of Secretary Mayorkas's Call with UK Home Secretary Priti Patel

Secretary of Homeland Secretary Alejandro N. Mayorkas spoke by phone today with the United Kingdom’s Home Secretary Priti Patel. Secretary Mayorkas and Home Secretary Patel expressed interest in working collaboratively on key issues such as addressing domestic violent extremism, furthering information sharing, and cybersecurity, to include the proliferation of social media being used for nefarious purposes. With the UK hosting the G7 Summit this year, as well as the G6+1 Ministerial meeting, Secretary Mayorkas looks forward to engaging with Home Secretary Patel on shared commitments to address global security challenges.
