Salazar to Participate in “Let's Move Outside” Event At Golden Gate National Recreation Area - Archive

SAN FRANCISCO -- Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar will join 25 fourth graders for a “Let's Move Outside” event Thursday, Oct. 14, at Golden Gate National Recreation Area, highlighting the opportunities for healthy outdoor activities in our national parks. The students will learn about the cultural and natural resources of the park while actively participating in games and activities.

“Let's Move Outside” is a nationwide initiative established by First Lady Michelle Obama to promote outdoor activity among young people. It is part of her “Let's Move” campaign to end childhood obesity in a generation.
