3 notices published in week ending Nov. 20 by State Department

There were three notices published by the State Department in week ending Nov. 20, according to the Federal Register.

The most recent notice, International Digital Economy and Telecommunication (IDET) Advisory Committee Solicitation of Applications for Membership, was submitted on November 15, 2021.

The State Department published seven the week before, marking a 57.1 percent decrease.

The State Department is responsibly for international relations with a budget of more than $50 billion. Tenure at the State Dept. is increasingly tenuous and it's seen as an extension of the President's will, ambitions and flaws.

Notices are required documents detailing rules and regulations being proposed by each federal department. This allows the public to see what issues legislators and federal departments are focusing on.

Any person or organization can comment on the proposed rules. Departments and agencies must then address “significant issues raised in comments and discuss any changes made,” the Federal Register says.
