Washington, DC - U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer (D-Calif.), Chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works, today made the following statement in response to the Federal District Court's decision supporting California's efforts to cut global warming pollution from cars:

Senator Boxer said: "Today's decision in the California case is another great step forward in the effort to avoid the dangerous consequences of global warming. The President and the Environmental Protection Agency should hear the strong and clear message from the court, stop dragging their feet and immediately give California a waiver, so California, and other states, can address global warming pollution from vehicles."
