Barrasso Statement on President’s Intent to Nominate Mary Neumayr to Be the Head of CEQ

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW), released the following statement on President Trump's announcement that he intends to nominate Mary Neumayr to be a member of the Council on Environmental Quality (CEQ). President Trump has indicated he will designate Neumayr to chair the CEQ once the full Senate confirms her. Neumayr currently serves as the chief of staff at CEQ.

“Mary Neumayr will make a strong leader at the Council on Environmental Quality," said Barrasso. “Her significant experience at the White House and on Capitol Hill will serve her well in this key environmental policy position."
