Senate Confirms Nicole Nason to Lead Federal Highway Administration

WASHINGTON, D.C. - Today, U.S. Senator John Barrasso (R-WY), chairman of the Senate Committee on Environment and Public Works (EPW), released the following statement on the Senate confirmation of Nicole Nason to serve as administrator of the Federal Highway Administration at the Department of Transportation. The Senate voted 95 to 1 to confirm Nason.

“Nicole Nason will do an excellent job leading the Federal Highway Administration," said Barrasso. “She will be an important partner as Congress drafts and implements bipartisan highway infrastructure legislation."

On February 5, 2019, the EPW Committee advanced Nason's nomination at a committee business meeting. The committee held a nomination hearing for Nason on Jan. 29, 2019.
