Energy and Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chairman Mike Doyle (D-PA) announced today that the Communications and Technology Subcommittee will hold a fully remote hearing on Wednesday, February 16, at 12 p.m. (EST) on oversight of the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). The hearing is entitled, “Connecting America: Oversight of NTIA.”
“Thanks to the sweeping broadband investments in the Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, NTIA now has a unique opportunity to spearhead significant progress in bridging the digital divide, so everyone can reliably connect to high-speed, affordable, and reliable internet, no matter their income or zip code,” Pallone and Doyle said. “We’re eager to hear from NTIA Administrator Alan Davidson next week about NTIA’s role in coordinating this historic effort, how the agency is working with its federal agency partners, and more.”
This hearing will be conducted remotely via Cisco Webex video conferencing. Members of the public may view the hearing via live webcast accessible on the Energy and Commerce Committee’s website. Please note the webcast will not be available until the hearing begins.
Information for this hearing, including the Committee Memorandum, witness testimony, and a live webcast will be posted HERE as they become available.
