WASHINGTON, DC - The House Committee on Energy and Commerce today announced its hearing schedule for the week of June 3, 2013. Beginning on Monday, June 3, the House of Representatives will vote on two committee priorities - legislation to reauthorize new and generic animal drug user fee programs and a bill to secure America’s prescription drug supply chain. The committee will also continue its #NationOfBuilders hearing series next week with an examination of America’s homebuilding sector and the Health Subcommittee will review draft legislation to repeal the current Sustainable Growth Rate (SGR) system and replace it with a fair and stable system of physician payment in the Medicare program.

On Tuesday, June 4, the Subcommittee on Commerce, Manufacturing, and Trade will hold a hearing on “Our Nation of Builders: Home Economics." As the nation continues its recovery from the 2008 housing collapse, the subcommittee will hold its fourth hearing in the Our Nation of Builders series to explore the state of America’s homebuilders. The subcommittee will hear from senior executives representing different businesses in the homebuilding industry about the challenges they face and opportunities for increasing growth and job creation.
