WASHINGTON, DC - House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI) and Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) today issued the following statement regarding the FCC’s announcement of a voluntary agreement regarding interoperability in the 700 MHz band:
“We commend Acting Chairwoman Clyburn’s efforts and leadership to find agreement on the interoperability issues in the 700 MHz band. An agreement reached voluntarily between the parties is always the preferred route and we are encouraged by today’s announcement."
