Walden to Address Innovation, Growth, and Global Leadership of United States’ Communications and Technology Sector

WASHINGTON, DC - House Energy and Commerce Communications and Technology Subcommittee Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) on Tuesday will address the American Enterprise Institute’s new Center for Internet, Communications, and Technology Policy during an event entitled, “Broadband, economic growth, and the implications for spectrum policy." Walden will highlight the committee’s work to free up more spectrum for mobile broadband and other uses and efforts to keep the Internet free from government control. Additionally, Walden will outline the subcommittee’s work to modernize the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), including the recent unanimous house approval of the FCC Consolidated Reporting Act, and discuss the subcommittee’s agenda for the fall.
