WASHINGTON, DC - Republican leaders on the House Energy and Commerce Committee today expressed disappointment with the Supreme Court’s decision to overturn the U.S. Court of Appeals ruling blocking the Environmental Protection Agency’s Cross-State Air Pollution Rule. House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI) and Energy and Power Subcommittee Chairman Ed Whitfield (R-KY) issued the following joint statement:
“This is just the latest blow to jobs and affordable energy. The administration’s overreaching regulation will drive up energy costs and threaten jobs and electric reliability. We cannot allow EPA’s aggressive regulatory expansion to go unchecked. We will continue our oversight of the agency and our efforts to protect American families and workers from EPA’s onslaught of costly rules."
