WASHINGTON, DC - Rep. Bill Cassidy (R-LA) yesterday spoke on the House floor in support for his bill, H.R. 5682, to approve the application to build the Keystone XL pipeline. The House will vote today and the Senate is expected to follow with a vote on the legislation next week, sending the bill to the president’s desk to build the landmark jobs and energy project. Today’s vote will be the ninth in the House to approve the landmark jobs and energy project.

“The bill considered today that I introduced is the language asked for by the Senate. So we are going to make it as easy as possible for the Senate to finally get a bill to the president’s desk that approves this long-overdue Keystone XL pipeline," said Cassidy. “I encourage my colleagues to join me in approving the Keystone XL pipeline to finally provide 40,000 promised jobs to the American people."
