The Subcommittee on Health, chaired by Rep. Joe Pitts (R-PA), has scheduled a hearing for Wednesday, Feb. 11, at 10:15 a.m. in room 2322 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing is entitled, “Examining ICD-10 Implementation."
Subcommittee members will hear from a number of stakeholders as the Oct. 1, 2015, implementation date approaches for ICD-10, the most recent coding system to be used by health care providers for reimbursement and other functions. The committee has been working with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services for several months to ensure this deadline is successfully met.
