The Subcommittee on Health, chaired by Rep. Joe Pitts (R-PA), has scheduled a hearing for Thursday, March 5, 2015, at 10:00 a.m. in room 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing is entitled, “Examining the 340B Drug Pricing Program."
Subcommittee members will hear testimony from witnesses from the Health Resources and Services Administration, the Government Accountability Office, and the Department of Health and Human Services Office of the Inspector General about the 340B program, a federal drug discount program. Subcommittee members will review the functionality of the program to ensure it is meeting its goal of improving access to prescription drugs for needy patients at facilities serving these populations.as they are posted.
