Pallone Applauds NTIA for Following DOTCOM Act Framework in Review of IANA Transition & Accountability Proposals

The following press release was published by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce on June 10, 2016. It is reproduced in full below.

Energy and Commerce Committee Ranking Member Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ), released the following statement after the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA) issued its review of the Internet Assigned Numbers Authority (IANA) transition and accountability proposals:

“Last year, I worked with my colleagues to craft the DOTCOM Act, which laid out a framework for Congressional oversight of the IANA transition process. I’m grateful that the NTIA did such a thorough job following our framework and giving Congress time to thoroughly review the findings before the transition takes place. I look forward to continuing a dialogue with NTIA and the multi-stakeholder community as we move through this process."
