Pallone Urges Action to Protect Consumers’ Online Privacy

WASHINGTON, DC - Energy and Commerce Ranking Member Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) issued the following statement today on Federal Communications Commission (FCC) Chairman Tom Wheeler’s consumer privacy proposal for internet service providers:

“I commend Chairman Wheeler for pushing forward with new privacy protections for consumers. For me, strong rules means making sure that all consumers can afford to keep their personal information private. No one-no matter their income-should be forced to choose between privacy and staying connected."
