Upton Statement on Administration’s Decision to Step Away From Part B Experiment

WASHINGTON, DC - House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI), issued the following statement regarding the administration’s decision not to move forward with the Center for Medicare & Medicaid Innovation’s (CMMI) proposed changes to the Medicare Part B Drug Payment Model:

“Yesterday’s announcement is good news for seniors and the sickest Medicare patients that rely on critical care. After months of growing concerns, I’m glad the administration listened to America’s seniors and the Congress, and chose to withdraw this harmful Medicare experiment."
