WASHINGTON, DC - The Subcommittee on Digital Commerce and Consumer Protection, chaired by Rep. Bob Latta (R-OH), has scheduled a hearing for Thursday, November 9, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. in 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing is entitled, “Perspectives on Mixed Martial Arts."

#SubDCCP members will have the opportunity to hear from a range of experts about the fast-growing Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) industry, and explore the sport’s regulatory and competitive framework. Although each state has legalized MMA, regulations related to athlete safety, contracts, and merchandising vary from state to state.

“Mixed Martial Arts is a physically demanding combat sport with a fast-growing national audience. Next week’s hearing will provide the committee broad perspectives from fighters, regulators, and promoters. I look forward to learning more about the sport and discussing the policy issues it raises," said Latta.as they are posted.
