Blackburn Praises President Trump’s National Security Strategy Including 5G Deployment

WASHINGTON, DC - Subcommittee on Communications and Technology Chairman Marsha Blackburn (R-TN) released the following statement in response to President Trump encouraging fifth generation (5G) wireless services in the administration’s national security strategy announcement.

“I’m encouraged to hear the president’s national security strategy includes a pledge to deploy 5G wireless services nationwide. This committee has held a number of hearings examining deployment challenges and spectrum use, and will continue to work to unleash spectrum and support the development of 5G networks. The 5G revolution is here, and I look forward to working alongside the administration to ensure America remains a leader in technology and innovation," said Chairman Blackburn.
