WASHINGTON, DC - House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR), Digital Commerce and Consumer Protection Subcommittee Chairman Bob Latta (R-OH), Energy Subcommittee Chairman Fred Upton (R-MI), and a bipartisan delegation of committee members will tour the North American International Auto Show on Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2018, beginning at 7:30 a.m.
The members will tour exhibits for General Motors, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, Toyota, Nissan, Hyundai, FCA, and Ford.
Last year, the House unanimously passed the SELF DRIVE Act, legislation originating in the Energy and Commerce Committee that promotes the safe and innovative development of self-driving cars on America’s roads.
