WASHINGTON, DC - The Subcommittee on Energy, chaired by Rep. Fred Upton (R-MI), today announced a hearing for Tuesday, Feb. 27, 2018, at 10 a.m. in room 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing is entitled, “State of the Nation’s Energy Infrastructure."
Next week, #SubEnergy will be taking a broad look at the current state of the nation’s energy infrastructure. Just last week, President Trump announced his infrastructure plan and to date, the House of Representatives has passed 24 #SubEnergy and #SubEnvironment infrastructure bills. Next week’s hearing will provide members an opportunity to learn more about what we can do to further modernize the nation’s energy infrastructure and improve workforce training and development in the energy sector.
“Modernizing the nation’s energy infrastructure should play an integral role in any sort of infrastructure plan moving forward," said Chairman Upton. “The committee has already been hard at work advancing solutions to streamline our pipeline approval process, promote renewable hydropower and energy efficiency, while making targeted reforms to many of our dated environmental laws. I look forward to learning more about the current state of our energy infrastructure and what more we can do to make meaningful improvements both now and in the future."
