Latta Statement on Senate CPSC Confirmation

The following press release was published by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce on May 22, 2018. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON, DC - Digital Commerce and Consumer Protection Subcommittee Chairman Bob Latta (R-OH) issued the following statement on the Senate confirmation of Dana Baiocco to be a Commissioner of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

“I am pleased that the Senate voted today to confirm Ms. Baiocco as CPSC commissioner. A balanced and strengthened CPSC is critical to keeping children and families safe from dangerous or faulty consumer products. With one seat remaining, I urge the Administration and Senate to act to ensure the five-seat CPSC has a permanent Chair and full complement of commissioners."
