Latta on Senate Commerce’s CPSC Nominee Hearing

The following press release was published by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce on June 20, 2018. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON, DC - Digital Commerce and Consumer Protection Subcommittee Chairman Bob Latta (R-OH) issued the following statement on today’s Senate Committee on Commerce, Science, and Transportation hearing on the nomination of Peter Feldman to the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

“Today’s committee hearing marks solid progress in bringing us closer to a fully formed CPSC. I urge the Senate to continue to move forward the confirmations of Mr. Feldman and Acting Chair Ann Marie Buerkle so this important agency can carry out its mission to protect the public from dangerous consumer products. A balanced slate of commissioners will empower the CPSC to keep children and families safe and allow this subcommittee to continue its tradition of oversight of the agency."
