WASHINGTON, DC - The Subcommittee on Digital Commerce and Consumer Protection, chaired by Rep. Bob Latta (R-OH), announced today a hearing for Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in room 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building. The hearing is entitled, “Built in America: Jobs and Growth in the Manufacturing Sector."

Following historic achievements in tax reform and regulatory rollbacks, next week’s #SubDCCP hearing will examine how the U.S. manufacturing industry has been impacted by recent policy and regulatory developments. Members will discuss the state of America’s global leadership in innovation, how advanced technologies increase productivity, and how policymakers can further support the nation’s manufacturing sector.

“For too long, America’s manufacturing sector was weighed down by a burdensome regulatory environment and complex tax code that hampered growth and success. Now that Congress and the Administration have removed those barriers, all signs point to a manufacturing sector on the rise. I look forward to hearing from our panel of witnesses who will provide firsthand insight to how reductions in taxes and regulatory burdens help consumers, workers, and the economy," said #SubDCCP Chairman Latta.as they are posted.
