The following press release was published by the House Committee on Energy and Commerce on Sept. 25, 2018. It is reproduced in full below.

WASHINGTON, DC - House Energy and Commerce Committee Chairman Greg Walden (R-OR) and Digital Commerce and Consumer Protection Subcommittee Chairman Bob Latta (R-OH) issued the following statement on the Senate confirmation of Peter Feldman to be a Commissioner of the Consumer Product Safety Commission (CPSC).

“The CPSC has a critical role in protecting Americans by keeping dangerous products off the shelves and out of the hands of consumers. With Mr. Feldman now confirmed by the Senate, we are one step closer to a full complement of commissioners who have the expertise and dedication to fulfill that mission. We now urge the Senate to move forward with the confirmation of Acting Chair Ann Marie Buerkle and secure a CPSC equipped for the 21st century."
