Washington, D.C. - Energy and Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) today announced the Vice Chairs for the Committee’s six subcommittees in the 116th Congress. The vice chairs are:
* Subcommittee on Communications and Technology - Rep. Doris Matsui (CA)
* Subcommittee on Consumer Protection and Commerce - Rep. Tony Cárdenas (CA)
* Subcommittee on Energy - Rep. Jerry McNerney (CA)
* Subcommittee on Environment and Climate Change - Rep. Raul Ruiz (CA)
* Subcommittee on Health - Rep. G. K. Butterfield (NC)
* Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigations - Rep. Joseph P. Kennedy III (MA)
“The Energy and Commerce Committee has a proud tradition of conducting most of its work in the subcommittees, and therefore these six subcommittee vice chairs will play an instrumental role in helping push the Committee’s agenda forward," Pallone said. “These six experienced leaders will help us strengthen our economy, reduce costs for consumers, combat climate change and conduct vigorous oversight over the next two years, and I congratulate them all on this well-deserved appointment."
