Energy Subcommittee Announces Budget Hearing with Secretary of Energy Rick Perry

Energy and Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr. (D-NJ) and Energy Subcommittee Chairman Bobby L. Rush (D-IL) announced today that the Energy Subcommittee will hold a hearing on Thursday, May 9 at 10:15 am in the John D. Dingell Room, 2123 Rayburn House Office Building with Department of Energy (DOE) Secretary Rick Perry on President Trump’s DOE budget request for fiscal year 2020. The hearing is entitled, “The Fiscal Year 2020 DOE Budget."

“The Trump Administration’s 2020 DOE budget makes drastic cuts to critical clean energy and energy efficiency programs that help us reduce carbon emissions and energy bills for consumers," said Pallone and Rush. “We look forward to hearing from Secretary Perry on these concerning budget cuts and other issues."
