E&C to Hold Joint Subcommittee Hearing on Administration Efforts to Roll Back CAFE & Tailpipe Emissions Standards

Energy and Commerce Chairman Frank Pallone, Jr., Consumer Protection and Commerce Subcommittee Chair Jan Schakowsky (D-IL) and Environment and Climate Change Chairman Paul Tonko (D-NY) announced today that the two subcommittees will hold a joint hearing on Thursday, June 20, at 10 am in the John D. Dingell Room, 2123 of the Rayburn House Office Building, on the Trump Administration’s efforts to roll back Corporate Average Fuel Economy (CAFE) standards and carbon pollution regulations from light duty cars and trucks. The hearing is entitled, “Driving in Reverse: The Administration’s Rollback of Fuel Economy and Clean Car Standards."

On Tuesday, Pallone, Schakowsky and Tonko announced that this hearing would take place on June 20.
