WASHINGTON, DC - Energy and Commerce Committee Republican Leader Greg Walden (R-OR) released the following statement in response to the tentative settlement reached by Purdue Pharma in a federal opioid lawsuit.
“No amount of money can bring back the lives lost from this reckless and greedy enterprise," said Walden.

Last Congress, under then-Chairman Walden’s leadership, the Energy and Commerce Committee pressed Purdue Pharma and other top opioid manufacturers about their role in the opioid crisis.
