Walden Makes Staff Announcement for Energy and Commerce Committee

WASHINGTON, DC - Energy and Commerce Committee Republican Leader Greg Walden (R-OR) announces a new member of the senior staff for the committee Republicans.

“The Energy and Commerce Committee has a history of employing talented and dedicated professionals, and we continue that tradition today. I know Kate’s breadth of experience in telecommunications policy will allow her to excel in this new role, and I welcome Kate to the team. The mission remains clear, serve the public well and support the work of our Republican members," said Walden.

Today’s staff announcement includes:

Kate O’Connor, Chief Counsel, Subcommittee on Communications and Technology

O’Connor will serve as the Republican Chief Counsel for the Subcommittee on Communications and Technology. Kate most recently served as chief of staff and deputy director of congressional and intergovernmental affairs for the National Telecommunications and Information Administration (NTIA). Prior to joining NTIA, O’Connor served as an aide on Capitol Hill to Senators Mark Kirk (R-IL) and Dan Sullivan (R-AK).
